Collaboration with Primary Health Care Committee in Kuwait

OVERVIEW: 

SIMCO is proud to partner with the Primary Health Care Committee in Kuwait to implement the Diabetic Retinopathy Screening Program, aimed at early detection and prevention of vision loss among diabetic patients. This initiative is a key step towards improving the overall health and well-being of individuals with diabetes by detecting retinopathy in its earliest stages.”


Project SCOPE: 

  • Number of Clinics/Health Centers: “The screening program was launched in over 100 health centers across Kuwait.”
  • Expected number to be examined annually : With the installation of 100 retinal cameras and OCT machines across the country, our Diabetic Retinopathy Screening Program is expected to examine approximately 625,000 patients annually, providing critical early detection and prevention for individuals at risk of diabetic eye disease.
  • Technology Used: “The program employs advanced OCT/Retinal imaging technologies to ensure precise and accurate screenings, with trained professionals analyzing the results.”

The Diabetic Retinopathy Screening Program utilizes cutting-edge imaging technology, including retinal cameras and AI-based analysis, to detect early signs of diabetic eye disease. The process is non-invasive, quick, and provides accurate results. Trained ophthalmologists analyze the images, and patients are promptly referred for further treatment if necessary.”
